Better Bad Soap bubble - Not so many lines.

Verdigris effect. From attempting to get wetness in a height map for wet and dry rock in a stream.  Here it would be better if it was more random, i.e. Not height based texture.  I must have a go at that sometime.

But Terrible Rocky Streams

BetterBadSoapBubbleSM.jpg

Here’s the version with 3 different settings, the bottom one has lots of specularity, the middle ones have a bit less and the top ones almost none.  But I’m not sure why that coppery tone persists. This is particularly evident in the rocks with the most specularity.

PsyGerm Soap Bubble adjusted (texture scaled to 11%) but I think it looks worse, as now it’s lost the large dark wibbles. (I also increased reflection - not sure if that’s better, or not...)

This lower Rocky Stream image is the one before the bead was placed in the A channel of reflection.

My Rock Stack

This is using the 2nd attempt at an altitude dependant texture - (before Vic’s Rock Texture arrived) - and I was pleased to see the altitude part working even though the moisture part just doesn’t seem to want to be altitude dependant.  Next to it is the same Rock Stack but with Vic’s wet-rock material on it.  Nice material but I think putting the wetness on some of the rocks and using the same material but without wetness on the higher rocks is at present the only way to do this in Bryce5.5c. It simply cannot be done with wet at the bottom and dry at the top - on a single rock!
